Quicke's Autumn Feast: Land, Fire and Sea

A big thank you to Quicke’s for inviting us to their Land, Fire and Sea event, hosted in an orchard at their Devonshire farm. With drinks on arrival, open firepits and wood fired canapes, the evening got off to an excellent start. Quicke’s ambassador, Ben Quinn from Woodfired Canteen, prepared all the food over his flaming grills, with local ingredients and seasoned with Cornish Sea Salt.
We were serenaded with live folk music, and treated to an Autumnal feast with grilled Quicke’s estate venison with blackberries and pine nuts, smoked mushrooms and Quicke’s cheddar, squash and burnt onions with rocket. For dessert, we had bonfire cooked pears, Quicke’s cow’s whey butter caramel and clotted cream.
