Dewsign's Festive Screen Printing

Posted on: 21/12/2016

At this festive time of year, Dewsign wanted to thank our clients for being valued digital partners. Rather than sending out season’s greeting cards, we worked as a team to create limited edition prints featuring the ancient ‘Flower of Life’ symbol.
This geometrical shape has significant importance to many, and can be found in manuscripts, temples and art throughout cultures around the world. It provides the underlying framework to create all of the platonic solids in 2D and 3D form and has inspired philosophers, architects and artists throughout the ages.
The Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt contains an example of the Flower of Life, which is thought to be at least 6,000 years old. Rather than being carved into the granite, the symbol appears to be burned or somehow drawn into the stone with incredible precision.
We screen printed the design onto purple card using a metallic gold waterbased ink, sending them along with a description of the print on pink card with a handwritten message. Have a watch of the film below, and see our team making the magic happen in our Falmouth Studio.
