Flash & New Media
The Chunk Records Flash intro built by dewsign (shown below) is a classic example of a good Flash implementation; namely creating cartoon animations for the web. Other applications include Product Demonstrations and Virtual Tours, see below for more information.
Full Flash Websites
Flash, when used correctly, is a fantastic new media tool. However, unless it is for a specific 'brochure' application, we do not recommend building full flash websites. Instead, we recommend a hybrid of Flash and HTML. This ensures we are not limited in the future development of a website and can easily optimize the website for Search Engine Optimisation.*
Examples of Flash used for the web :
Flash Cartoons
- SpinVox : Film based animation used to demonstrate SpinVox services
- Chunk Records : Cartoon animation linked to branding of new album
- StreetBike : Cartoon animation based on the award winning E-business
Virtual Tour
- Richmond University : Virtual Tour
Flash Websites
- TVSeries : Hand Built Trials & BMX bikes from the UK company Pashley Cycles
- StreetBike.net : Award Winning E Business Website **
- TGMME
- Nexus Watch
Functional Uses of Flash
- Richmond University : Admissions Contacts Map
- StreetBike : Tariff Chart (click on services & select a price chart)
Flash Movies used within HTML websites
- Principal Corporation : '342' Special Offer Movie
- Turners Property : 0.99% Commission Offer Movie
- Richmond University : Intro Movie
- NRT Electrical : Intro Movie
Screen Savers
- StreetBike : Grow Campaign, Fills your screen with Flowers
- Pashey TVSeries : TVSeries Cartoon Screen Screen Saver
Flash Games
- StreetBike : 'SBRaceTrix' Flash game** - create your own track, play up to 3 players on one keyboard. Great fun!

* Full Flash sites can be indexed by Search Engines. However, for most applications we find that Flash / HTML hybrid sites provide more flexibility.
