Every eCommerce project goes through an initial consultancy stage to consider current and future business requirements. Only then can we decide if we need to go down a bespoke route, or we can utilise off-the-shelf software. The latter is generally feature rich but unless the business is a basic mail order 'pick-pack-ship' type scenario we find that a tailored bespoke route is generally the way to go.

Dewsign Redundant PSP & Fraud Prevention Gateway Product

We conceived, designed and built Officemagic.co.uk a system that provides them with realtime fraud checking and a redundant payment service provider (PSP). This means that if their preferred PSP was unavailable to process a transaction for any reason, it automatically accepts payments through another other PSP. Thus they do not incur any downtime themselves. The realtime fraud checking integrates directly with The 3rd Man using a live data feed. This system has proved very successful and they have stopped a number of fraudulent transactions being processed which in a low margin business can be crucial to it's success.

The UK based company Sagepay (formarley Protx) is our online payment partner. Sagepay offer a cost effective solution based on a monthly subscription rather than on a percentage of sale basis.
