Planet Mu Records
Planet Mu asked us to create a new eCommerce website to enable them to sell a variety of music formats (digital and physical) and associated merchandise related products.
We created a Flash based MP3 sample player to enable users to listen to the tracks from the release page.
The Content Management System (CMS) uploaded the tracks directly to the Content Delivery Network (CDN) Amazon S3. We wrote some bespoke code to ensure that there were restrictions on the number of downloads per user.

Flash based MP3 Sample PlayerPlanet Mu asked us to build a flash based sample player to enable users to listen to a 30 second sample of each of the tracks. In some cases there are 4x different formats per release (CD, Vinyl, MP3 and WAV) and each format could have different track list, so the player needed to cater for this with complete flexibility. The result is a slick looking easy to use player with all the functionality you would expect from a samples player. Press the PLAY icon to check it out. |
